Matte Black and White Full Moon Studs with Gold Rim

Handmade porcelain full moon stud earrings with solid sterling silver posts. Underglaze was used to accentuate the texture of the moon, and 22K gold was added around the edge in a luster firing. 

Size: 7/8" diameter

These earrings require three different firings in the kiln at different temperatures, ranging from the luster firing at 1213 ^oF to the glaze firing at 2232 ^oF. 

They go through different processes along the way to complete, including forming, glazing, luster painting, and attaching the posts.
